eBill Direct Debit – the modern direct debit solution for all relevant customer groups and use cases.
eBill Direct Debit reliably covers all key DD+/BDD use cases and user groups, now and in the future. From private individuals, through SMEs, to large enterprises, everyone involved benefits from a modern digital direct debit solution – even clients who do not use online banking.
About 80% of DD/BDD users access eBill digitally via online banking.
This allows them to process:
• Currently: invoices, notifications, credits, reminders and donation requests
• New: direct debit authorizations & collections.
15-20% of DD+/BDD users do not have access to online banking.
From June 2027, direct debit mandates for this client group can also be set up using paper forms.
Business Direct Debit (BDD) accounts for around 43% of the current direct debit transaction volume.
From June 2027, eBill Direct Debit will also support BDD use cases.
eBill Direct Debit closes the gap between today’s direct debit process and modern digital payment solutions. The solution combines the strengths of DD+/BDD with the advantages of eBill, enabling end-to-end digital workflows for recurring payments directly via online banking.

eBill Direct Debit is a new eBill offering developed independently by SIX, which was launched on the market on its own initiative in summer 2025. This function is only available to users who are registered with an eBill financial institution that has implemented this function. If you do not belong to such a financial institution, you will not have access to this function.
eBill Direct Debit is the modern, digital direct debit procedure, from which financial institutions, invoicing parties, and private individuals all benefit. In this way, receivables can be submitted, processed, and debited in eBill. It is based on a digital direct debit authorization that has previously been set up in eBill.
eBill Direct Debit is based on the proven eBill processes and payment transaction standards, which makes it much easier to implement.
Transactions can be processed directly from account to account and supplemented to include additional information such as invoice documents.
Invoice payment channels are increasingly converging on the eBill platform. This leads to further economies of scale.
eBill Direct Debit builds on the existing and proven eBill infrastructure. Many functionalities, interfaces and mechanisms are reused. This enables eBill Direct Debit to be implemented with a manageable investment.
eBill Web is an online tool that invoice issuers can use to submit eBill Direct Debit business cases directly to the eBill infrastructure. It is comparable to the current LSV+/BDD delivery interface, payCOMweb.
eBill Web offers specific functions for eBill Direct Debit, including inviting invoice recipients, uploading requests, tracking status and events, and managing eBill Web user accounts. eBill Web exclusively supports eBill Direct Debit functions. Invoices, reminders, credits, notifications, and donation requests cannot be processed via eBill Web.
To be able to use eBill Web, the invoice issuer must have a contractual agreement with a financial institution. Those invoice issuers interested in eBill Web are therefore advised to contact their financial institution (a list of financial institutions that support eBill Direct Debit can be found below).
